We have bodged up a live video stream so listeners can watch Renegade djs antics while live on air....it can also run videos. At this time it will not be available for all djs at all times, only for Renegade meetup sets and special events.....we want to see how it goes. I ran a test on it today and though not cinema quality at this time, its pretty good i think.....for free. I may test it live during my next set (my birthday set) in a cpl of weeks, so we will see how it goes. I was watching Nik on there last night , was proper good . Excellent idea . What kind of connection speed do you need to do that then ?? Pretty good I would imagine , I'm lucky to get upload speeds of 96 k . |

I think the actual video requires about 50kbps, but it also sends audio too, which obviously requires more (not sure of the audio's kbps on the video page). To make sure Id reccomend at least 256kbps upload speed if your streaming 128kbps on renegade server at same time. If you stream 96kbps to renegade server maybe could just about do it on 220kbps upload speed ? |
